This Cookie Policy describes the types of cookies and tracking tools used by the website accessible at the URL www.trapmilano.it (the “Website”), the purposes of their use and the ways in which the user may manage and express their preferences, at any time and as easily as they were given.
This Cookie Policy is provided pursuant to Article 122 of Italian Legislative Decree No. 196 of 30 June 2003 (the “Italian Privacy Code”), to Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (the “Regulation” or “GDPR”) and to the Guidelines on cookies and other tracking tools adopted by the Italian Data Protection Authority (Garante per la protezione dei dati personali) on 10 June 2021 (effective from 10 January 2022). It forms an integral part of the Privacy Policy published in the Legal Area of the Website, to which reference should be made for any further information on the processing of personal data.
ART. 1 – Data Controller
The Data Controller is Trap Milano S.r.l., with registered office at Via Adeodato Ressi 23, 20125 Milan (MI), Italy, reachable at the e-mail address [email protected] (hereinafter, “Trap Milano” or the “Controller”).
ART. 2 – What are cookies and tracking tools
Cookies are small files that websites send to the user’s browser and that are stored on the device (computer, tablet, smartphone) at the time of the visit, to then be re-transmitted to the website on subsequent visits. In addition to cookies, the Website may use similar technologies (e.g. pixels, web beacons, SDKs, local storage identifiers) that perform comparable functions.
Cookies may be “first party”, where they are managed directly by the Controller, or “third party”, where they are prepared and managed by third parties on the basis of their own privacy notices and not under the control of Trap Milano. Depending on their duration, a distinction is made between “session” cookies, which are deleted when the browser is closed, and “persistent” cookies, which remain on the device until they expire or are removed.
ART. 3 – Types of cookies used
The Website uses the following categories of cookies and tracking tools:
- a) Technical and navigation cookies. They enable the correct functioning of the Website and the use of its content and services (e.g. session management, security, recognition of the language and reference market, access to reserved areas for registered users). They are necessary and do not require the user’s consent.
- b) Functional cookies. They allow, at the user’s express request, the storing of choices and preferences (e.g. language, currency, Shopping Bag contents, “remember me next time”) in order to improve the quality of the browsing experience. Although not essential, they qualify as technical cookies when strictly connected to a function requested by the user.
- c) Analytics cookies. They are used to produce statistical analyses, in aggregate form, of how users browse the Website. Such cookies are treated as technical cookies — and therefore do not require consent — only where measures are adopted that reduce their identifying capacity (e.g. masking of significant portions of the IP address) and the third party does not use them for its own purposes nor cross-reference the data with other information in its possession. In the absence of such conditions, their use is subject to the user’s consent.
- d) Profiling and marketing cookies (first and third party). They are aimed at creating user profiles and delivering advertising messages in line with the preferences shown during browsing, including on affiliated websites (retargeting). Their use is subject to the user’s prior consent.
- e) Social network cookies. They enable interaction between the Website and the user’s social accounts (e.g. content sharing). Their use is subject to prior consent and the information collected is managed by the respective providers under their own policies.

ART. 4 – Legal Bases
Technical, navigation and functional cookies are installed on the basis of Article 122(1) of the Italian Privacy Code, as they are necessary to provide the service requested by the user, as well as on the Controller’s legitimate interest in ensuring the correct functioning and security of the Website (Article 6(1)(f) of the Regulation). Anonymised analytics cookies, under the conditions set out in Article 3(c), are processed on the same bases, without the need for consent.
Profiling and marketing cookies, social network cookies and non-anonymised analytics cookies are installed exclusively subject to the user’s consent, pursuant to Article 6(1)(a) of the Regulation and Article 122 of the Italian Privacy Code. Consent is freely given and may be withdrawn at any time, without prejudice to the lawfulness of processing carried out prior to withdrawal.
ART. 5 – Ways of giving and withdrawing consent
Upon first access to the Website, the user is presented with a banner (“cookie banner”) which, without installing any non-technical cookies, informs them briefly of the purposes of the cookies and allows them to make an informed choice. Through the banner the user may:
- accept all cookies, by means of the relevant consent command;
- reject all non-technical cookies, by means of a distinct command of equal graphic prominence and immediacy compared with the acceptance command;
- customise their choices by individual category, by accessing the “Cookie Preferences” panel.
Merely closing the banner using the close command (“X”) keeps the default settings and does not entail the granting of consent to the installation of cookies other than technical ones. Likewise, simply scrolling the page does not in any case constitute an expression of consent.
The choice expressed by the user is recorded and the banner will not be shown again for at least six months, unless there are significant changes to the conditions of processing or it is not possible to trace the preferences previously expressed (for example where the user deletes the cookies).
The user may modify or withdraw at any time, and as easily as they were given, the consents provided, by accessing the “Cookie Preferences” panel that can be recalled through the relevant command on the Website (e.g. a link in the footer of the pages).
ART. 6 – Duration of cookies
Session cookies have a duration limited to the single browsing session and are automatically deleted when the browser is closed. Persistent cookies have a predetermined duration, indicated for each cookie in the “Cookie Preferences” panel; profiling cookies generally have a duration not exceeding twelve months, after which consent is requested again.
ART. 7 – Managing cookies through the browser
Irrespective of the choices expressed through the banner, the user may manage, limit or disable cookies also through the settings of their browser. Please note, however, that disabling technical cookies may compromise the correct functioning of the Website and limit the services offered. ART. 8 – Third-party cookies
For third-party cookies, the processing of data is governed by the respective privacy notices, to which reference is made and over which the Controller exercises no control. Below are the references to the policies of the main third-party providers that may be used:

ART. 9 – Transfer of Data to Third Countries
Some third-party providers that install cookies on the Website may also process data outside the European Union or the European Economic Area (EEA). In such cases, the transfer takes place only where adequate safeguards are in place pursuant to Articles 44 et seq. of the Regulation (e.g. an adequacy decision of the European Commission or standard contractual clauses), as specified in the notices of the respective third parties.
ART. 10 – Rights of Data Subjects
At any time the user may exercise the rights set out in Articles 15 et seq. of the Regulation (access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection and withdrawal of consent), as well as lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (www.garanteprivacy.it), in accordance with the procedures indicated in the Privacy Policy. Requests may be submitted to the e-mail address [email protected], or to the registered office of the Controller.
ART. 11 – Amendments
The Controller reserves the right to make, at any time, such amendments to this Cookie Policy as it deems appropriate or as required by the legislation in force from time to time, giving adequate notice thereof on the Website. Users are therefore invited to consult this page periodically.
